The Bucket List

Welcome to our ever-growing bucket list! we hope you enjoy browsing through our dreams, ambitions, and a few downright silly ideas—maybe you’ll even find some inspiration for your own list. Some goals are just for me, things I’ve always wanted to achieve or learn, while others are about exploring the world and making memories together. Of course, there are plenty of fun and spontaneous ones sprinkled in too!

You’ll also spot the kids’ contributions—places they’re eager to visit and adventures they can’t wait to try, all highlighted in the family goals section.

We know this isn’t a race, and we’re in it for the long haul. we’ve already ticked off a few, but there’s so much more to come. So, let’s dive in, starting with our family goals…

Family Goals

• visit as many countries as possible

• visit Disneyland

• experience the Enchanted Well in Brazil

• go on the longest zip-line in the world

• visit Santa Clause in Lapland

• take a pedlow to sea - done in Cyprus 2020

• face our fears

• learn another language - currently Cohen learnt German, and Lexah learns French at school, Linz is learning Turkish

• go horse riding

• go on safari

• swim with dolphins

• see the Northern Lights

• make a wish in the Trevi Fountain, Italy

• soak in Pammukale Thermal Pools, Hot Springs, Turkey

• go parasailing - We parasailed in Ayia Napa in 2022

• zip line through the Rain Forest of Costa Rica

• walk behind a waterfall (Sgwd yr Eira, Brecon Beacons)

• how to play chess - thanks to Cohen who taught me when he was in primary school!

• how to shoot a handgun - whilst in Lithuania, I took my 69-year-old mum to a shooting range!

• another language - currently Cohen is learning German, Linz is learning Turkish & Lexah is learning French

• fly 1st class

• go abroad solo - did this in Easter 2023, visiting Istanbul for the second time

• attend a music festival - took the kids to the Tramlines festival in Sheffield in July 2023

• be debt-free - not a single penny owed

• achieve a degree - Linz completed here BSc Civil Engineering with First Class Hons in 2023

• build a tiny house on wheels

• repair and show a classic car at an event

• own my dream house

• shoot a rifle

• see the Mona Lisa

• donate blood

• witness a solar eclipse - 20 March 2015

• visit Istanbul - first visited Istanbul in December 2022

• experience the bulls at Pamplona, Spain

• take a holiday abroad with friends

• visit the Grand Old Opry

• drink Steins at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany

• go on holiday abroad with mum as an adult - we visited Lithuania in 2022

• visit Edinburgh - stayed for a few nights in 2018
