Exploring Murton Park - York

A staple for family days out.

Murton Park is an action-packed, eventful and affordable day out for all families.

There’s always activities going on at Murton Park, especially around bank holidays and school holidays. Take a look around the museum and tractors, visit the animals - the goats are very friendly.

Exhaust the kids with the outdoor play area, toy tractors, trails and themed areas then enjoy a picnic on one of the many picnic tables.

If you have time enjoy the Derwent Valley Light Railway trip it’s included in the annual ticket and is ran by the wonderful volunteers. Don’t forget to visit the lovely ladies in the station house, there’s a few souvenirs and a second-hand book shop.
