Places You'll Adore for More Than Four

If you’re a family with more than four, booking a Travelodge or Holiday Inn just became twice as expensive, they only cater for four in a room for insurance purposes. Now I'd be lying if I said we hadn't snuck 5 in a room, but with squabbles over who's topping and tailing, it's just not worth it.

I’ve found websites that cater for all your needs that won’t break the bank.

Sykes Holiday Cottages

Sykes Holiday Cottages focuses on English holiday destinations; I found several houses sleeping 5-6 guests for under £450 for 7 nights in August. When you consider that Travelodge charges between £30 and £100 per night for a single room, £450 for a whole house and multiple rooms is a steal!

Airbnb

One of the great features of AirBnB is that it is global, and they have some truly bizarre and wonderful rentals! What could be more exciting than sleeping in a tree house or on a boat? Perhaps the kids would prefer to wake up on the beach! Much better than a boring hotel room, in my opinion!

Away with the kids

Away with the kids is a fantastic website for large families, as you can glamp, camp, or stay in a B&B. It is not only hotels but also farms and classic châteaux that are available for stay.

Group Accommodation

If you're thinking about taking extended family or family friends, or if you're one of many families looking to go all together, look into Group Accommodation. They specialise in accommodation such as multi-generational family holidays, houses for parties, and houses for celebrations such as weddings and guests. After all, the cost of shared lodging is much easier to swallow.
